Parting thoughts:

1. Was the person who priced the Josie Maran sets high or something? 3 sets about $10 in price different from each other: 72% value, 157% value, and 314% value. Either they think we can't do math (oh hai!) or the pricing was completely arbitrary.
2. Why is Tarte pushing their black liquid liner so hard? For real, the full size is in about a thousand of these sets.
3. Only trust the stated value advertised for a set when it is comprised of full size items (i.e. when doing the math is so easy they might get caught being wily)
4. Sephora Favorites box sets are always a darn good value. Kudos on that, Sephora. 
5. Seeing the deviation between marketing claims and reality makes me crabby. Why don't brands break down the actual value of sets honestly and transparently? Oh, right, it is a shit ton of arithmetic.
